Mission Statement

By Tony Kenton, Chairperson

"I have been asked to write something about our group, our meetings, and/or our mission. Maybe I should start by telling you what we are not. We are not a religious group. However, we do meet at a Unitarian Church annex. We do not represent any sect or group with religious or non-religious intentions. We are a support group! In most social circles, there are just some things you can not talk about. We do! We meet to discuss current events in both our physical and spiritual worlds. We are inquisitive and we seek knowledge from the non-traditional world about our role in the universe. As a group, we can do little but support each other in living this life in our current physical reality. Maybe as a good analogy we seek and support the endeavors of each individual in their growth process of becoming more conscious. The current song “I hope you dance” does a good job of explaining our role or goal in the near future.

We conduct our meetings like a normal business agenda and have a brief discussion of anything of interest to anyone in attendance, after which we break for refreshment. Our program or gust speaker conducts the remainder of our meeting which normally does not exceed 2 hours. Most of our programs are people who do what is called channeling. To the novice, this is a person who allows a spirit to communicate with our reality through them. The spiritual entity normally, for lack of a better word, does a monologue and then takes questions and answers. The spiritual world seems to enjoy this experience as much as the humans who listen and seek some personal guidance or an insight into the workings of our reality.

Not all of our meetings are out of this world; however, we have had some people who discuss UFO’s, crop circles, ancient knowledge, and new scientific achievements. Closer to normal reality, we do conduct holistic and healing programs. Anyone who is seeking answers, truth, and a higher form of consciousness are the right candidates for our meetings."

The New Hope Metaphysical Society was founded in 1990 by Bill Tomaszewski,  Reiki Master and conscious channel in New Hope, Pa.     Mr. Tomaszewski ran the organization for over seven years and held monthly meetings at the New Hope Public Library.   It was then taken over by Carl Galetti in 1997 and by Amy and John Gialuco, in 1998 who moved the meeting location to Pebble Hill Church.  The organization is presently run by Tony Kenton, who took over the organization in 2001 and continues to meet at Pebble Hill Church in Doylestown, Pa.
