Autumn: A Time of Balance
Autumn: A Time of Balance
Due to the fact that the Jewish High Holy Day of Yom Kippur falls on our regular meeting date (Sept. 23)and because the Papal Visit to Philadelphia falls very near the same time, we are moving our meeting date to the 30th.
The New Hope Metaphysical Society will be offering an Autumn Equinox
program at its September meeting featuring our guest speaker Sarah
Murphy. Ms. Murphy will offer a lecture/meditation program in
which she will explore the significance of the autumn equinox, not only
as a time of
harvest, but as a time signifying the balance point between day and
night or light and darkness. As such, it offers us a time for
reflection: to face and heal the dark within. As we heal our dark side
or shadow self , we gain greater balance, harmony and peace.
Coming from a place of peace, we are more open to bring in more light
and therefore more peace and harmony. As
we heal ourselves, we participate in healing the world.
Included in the presentation will be an Introduction to the structure of the subconscious and how we directly manifest what is in our subconscious mind and subconscious programming. Ms. Murphy will further explain how to face our negative programming or beliefs and how to heal (and transform) them into positive affirmations. As part of this presentation, Ms. Murphy will lead a guided meditation to clear some subconscious blocks. The final part of the evening program will be dedicated to Peace Ms. Murphy will lead in a Day of Peace discussion which will be an open forum for reflection and sharing on peace. Ms. Murphy will, then, offer a second meditation to bring in the light of Peace.
Refreshments will be served. Off street parking is always available. For more information, please call:
