Since this issue of the ATU is about ‘Sacred Energy’ locations or space I wanted to write about what and where my sacred space tends to be. I have found this space to be in the presence of an entity or group consciousness, as they so often have called themselves, while sitting in a chair or on the floor in front of a channeler or trance medium.
I heard my first entity (the Ascended Master Daniel) in 1988 in a cozy and colorful apartment with 5 other people (including the channeler- Amy Bortner). Prior to this event I had been reading the Seth material, by Jane Roberts, since 1973, and was fascinated by its contents and the (often) colorful descriptions of Jane going into trance and channeling "Seth". I had longed to see a ‘real’ entity such as Seth for all those years and now, in this cozy apartment, I was going to "have my wish"!
As Amy began to go into trance to bring through her guide, Daniel, I quietly sat with an open mind and barely controllable excitement. As the channeler went deeper into trance, her face morphed into a ‘masculine’ appearance and took on a different kind of animation. During this time, I sensed a slowing down of my mind, the energy in the room became more light and I was less concerned about the environment outside the 4 walls... I was feeling high! As I tried to peer into an unknown reality and the transformation unfolding before me I flashed onto memories of my first LSD trip in 1966 searching to find a reference or some gauge that I had used back then, to perceive this new awakening, this introduction to a spirit guide named Daniel.
When Daniel finally came through, he looked to his left at one of the women for a few seconds, then to another and then another until he faced me. I was ready to jump out of my skin! There was a rush of thoughts that begged to be processed, but my feelings wouldn't allow it quite yet. I wanted to ask the others in the room if they were seeing and feeling the same phenomenon but could not. I vainly tried to recall some of the reactions that Jane Roberts’ students had on meeting Seth for the first time... but nothing. So, I sat, mute but filled with excitement and wonder! Then Daniel began to speak to the group.
When Daniel began speaking to us I realized that I was participating with "the other side", the higher spiritual dimensions that we can only glimpse into , on occasion. I realized that, in that moment, I had come a long way.. Much of what had come before in my personal life was not so important now, all the books, the trips to Europe, the questions and answers, the mysteries. They were now part of a psychic structure to a bridge that had I started crossing just several years ago, a bridge to a greater reality and multi-dimensionality.
I have, since that evening, been present to many, many channelings by Amy (now, my wife!) and her friends and students. I have been privileged to hear, see and feel a variety of spiritual beings, be they a group consciousness complex, an Angel, a Deva, a light being, an Extraterrestrial, an Ascended Master, a variety of human personalities from the earth plane or personal spirit guides. I've had the opportunity to witness and feel another’s ‘first time’ experience of channeling an entity. I have also seen people channel what they thought was a spirit guide or a discarnate personality but were really expressing another aspect of themselves i.e their higher self, soul fragment or an ego projection. (Which is just as valid and wonderful a process as well!) But as time went on most of them did make a more valid connection to an entity or consciousness outside of their own self or selves. And it is quite a noble and divine act for someone to reach out to spirit through the channeling phenomenon for it is truly a divine communion and in the process of making contact, they make themselves a bit more free-er, both psychically, emotionally and spiritually.
Many entities who come through often begin the evening by scanning the collective concerns of the people in the room and collate the important issues so that they usually address some of these concerns during their presentation. Some have come through to offer specific lessons, i.e. lessons about healing the self, healing society or healing the planet or lessons about probability and about past, present and future changes on the planet.
Humor has often been the common thread in these early attempts and that humor itself has provided a sacred energy space. I recall one evening when a particular being, who was being channeled by a woman, (named Liz) came through. At first he looked very stoic as he peered through Liz's closed eyes. After about a minute or so he suddenly shifted into outrageous laughter. His laughter became louder and louder and we became overwhelmed with the incredible energy that flowed off of Liz's body. He blurted out how funny our expressions were on our faces and that we need not take ourselves or channeling so serious all of the time. Within a few minutes we were rolling on the floor with tears in our eyes, not quite understanding what was going on or even how we got onto the floor. In between his comments he would burst into seemingly uncontrollable laughter. This was the funniest night I have had with someone who was, in our terms, quite dead. It was also a reminder for all of us that being spiritual or in communion with spirit does not always take the form we think it should or will take.
I have witnessed ET's, who have never come through a channel before, describe their first impressions on being in front of human beings for the first time. It is always quite moving. And, inevitably, they always express their appreciation and love for our free will and for the emotional architecture that we, as human beings, have taken for granted. They would constantly express their appreciation for the fact that we can explore (consciously or not) a great range of emotion and depth of feeling all the time in our day to day reality. Apparently, they do not have a similar privilege in their world. The ET's always offer a world view that is provocative, highly mental in content and one which is not easily available in our everyday perception of life.
The Angels often sprinkle their visit with concepts about love and the practical use of love. They only express love, joy and beauty, values that are deeply understood by the Angelic realm. They will, often, offer a meditation or a healing using the channeler’s hands and body to send loving energy into the room for the benefit of the participants well being. This will usually take 5 or 10 minutes to do. I have found the angelic energy to be frequently the most moving and powerful of all the energies I have been with.
There are also the Ascended Masters, of which I am most familiar with, who paint an evening with one's personal and earthly histories, both past present and future. They belong to various brotherhoods such as The Great White Brotherhood and many of their own lessons are learned while working with us humans. They operate beyond the restrictions of time and space (as most of the entities do) and as such can be very helpful with our own progress and exploration here. I find their energy to often be of a psychological/metaphysical environment, a meta-psychology, it can unite the gaps we have about spirit and reason, accident and freewill, the self and the non-self.
Another group of discarnate beings who are in line waiting to "come through" are the various personalities that have had lives in our historical earth probability. Jesus, Elvis, Hitler, Carl Jung, Christopher Columbus, Janis Joplin, Ghandi, Jimi Hendrix, JFK ... all of these beings and many others, some who wouldn't be as well known, have given their insights, their "world view" about their life while they were here as well as their impressions about reality in this present. To be sure this group often bring humor and laughter through the channeler. Some of the mysteries and reasons surrounding their experiences are revealed in an open format way. Jimi Hendrix (now Master Ankar) talks about his music, the codes that he designed into the sound and words, which when heard, trigger within the listener information about universal knowledge. He speaks about the importance of our sharing and expressing our feelings, our soul to each other. That it is feeling that unites the brotherhood of man and wo-man.
The integrity between the entity, the channeler and the channeler's guides is always of the highest order and intent so that I never felt uncomfortable or afraid of the experience. And all of these beings have, in one way or another, shared their love and respect for us as well as indicate their great love for the earth and all of it's occupants. Whether we have 2 legs or 40, fly, walk or swim, they love us all.
For some of the entities, their visitation has been clumsy and/or humorous affair. For others, their expression through the channeler has been as easy as water falling off of a duck's back. Some come as a group consciousness, a merging of concerns, knowledge, inspiration, identity and personality all welded in love and peace, others come as a single soul or personality. However, all are sending just a portion of their totality, an aspect of their identity that we can identify with during a channeling session. Many entities operate in the dream state, others operate within mother ships just outside our dimension, some manage themselves from smaller than atomic structure dimensions, and a few are calling from places we can't yet comprehend. To be sure, though, they are all come from an original source...God, Goddess, All That Is.
